- Many new features have been added to the game, such as rebel armies, rituals, new buildings, and treasure hunts.
- The story is engaging and presented in beautiful short films that can be re-watched in the menu.

Gothic 1
Overview of Gothic 1
King Rhobar II, the ruler of Myrtana, has been waging war against the orcs for many years. To conduct an effective war, people use rune magic and weapons made from magical ore, mined in the colony of the city of Khorinis. Criminals from all over the kingdom were sent to hard labor in the mines. To prevent escapes, the king tasked the greatest mages of Myrtana with erecting a magical barrier over the colony. However, the spell went wrong, trapping not only the prisoners but the mages themselves.
You play as the Nameless Hero, condemned to hard labor. You must climb the hierarchical ladder, figure out how to destroy the barrier, and escape from the cursed colony.
Gothic 2
Overview of Gothic 2

You will encounter the vast city of Khorinis, where you can spend about three hours completing various quests. Gothic 3
Overview of Gothic 3
In Gothic 3, the storyline leaves much to be desired, and some dialogues with secondary characters are longer than the main ones. The game has a limited selection of armor and weapons, and the combat system is perhaps the clunkiest I've ever encountered. Nevertheless, the game is twice as long as its predecessors, and the map can be explored for hours. Although there are many tasks, many of them are repetitive and become tedious over time. But if you enjoy playing for long periods, destroying every creature, and completing every quest, you will earn enough experience to change your play style, such as switching from two-handed to one-handed weapons midway through the game, then this is for you.
In conclusion, I understand that many do not consider Gothic 3 part of the Gothic series, and I used to think the same way. But after playing it, I can say that it truly deserves a chance. This game made me gather every plant, check every corner of the map, and complete almost every quest, which resulted in many hours spent in it. It was an adventure that left pleasant memories.
